Job summary

ASHFORD CONNEX, LLC in Harlan, Iowa is seeking a Welder to join the 1st shift. You will read blueprints, prepare layouts, and weld fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble frames, stands, reels, and shafts using MIG/TIG welding processes.

Requirements include 2–5 years of MIG and TIG welding experience in a fabrication setting, aluminum and stainless TIG experience, and a certificate or associate degree. Strong problem-solving and adherence to 5S quality standards are expected.

Qualifications

• 1-year certificate or 2–5 years related experience or equivalent.
• Associate degree or equivalent education/experience required.
• 2–5 years MIG/TIG welding experience in fabrication.
• Aluminum and stainless TIG experience preferred.
• Blueprint reading is essential; problem solver mindset.

Responsibilities

• Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding.
• Lay out, position, align, and fit components.
• Tack-weld, clamp, and secure parts for welding.
• Set up equipment and weld with MIG/TIG.
• Assemble parts by bolting and riveting.
• Use hand/power tools and cutting equipment as needed.
• Read blueprints and ensure conformance to specs.
• Maintain 5S in the department.
