Staffmark Group is hiring a Welder in Katy, TX for 1st shift. The role focuses on MIG, TIG, and Stick welding with opportunities to read blueprints and assemble weldments. You’ll operate cranes and forklifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and contribute to a safe, efficient shop environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of at least a 1-year formal apprenticeship or welding training program or a 2-year welding program from an accredited institution (may substitute 2 years of related experience for 1 year of education; substitution does not count toward experience requirement)
• 4+ years of hands‑on experience with MIG, TIG, and Flux welding
• Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet throughout the shift

Responsabilités

• Perform routine MIG, TIG, and Stick welding operations according to specifications.
• Fabricate and prepare parts through grinding, cutting, fitting, tacking, and welding.
• Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
• Assemble welded components and install assemblies as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions.
• Assist with setup, adjustment, and maintenance of welding equipment.
• Maintain accurate timecards, job assignments, and production records.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
