Job summary

TMD Staffing is seeking experienced TIG Welders and Fabricators for a Cedar Park, TX opportunity. The role focuses on GTAW/TIG welding with emphasis on thin-gauge sheet metal, including aluminum and stainless steel. Strong blueprint interpretation and attention to quality are essential.

Shifts include Day 6:00 AM–2:30 PM and Night 4:00 PM–12:30 AM with lots of overtime potential based on production needs. Must pass background and drug screening and be authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated TIG/GTAW welding experience.
• Experience welding thin-gauge sheet metal (as thin as 20 gauge / .036").
• Experience welding aluminum and/or stainless steel.

Responsibilities

• Perform GTAW/TIG welding as the primary welding process.
• Fit, assemble, tack weld, weld, grind, and finish fabricated components.
• Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Work with thin-gauge sheet metal and fabricated assemblies.
• Read and follow blueprints, weld symbols, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Perform spot welding, stud welding, and robotic welding as needed.

TIG Welder / Fabricator TMD Staffing – Cedar Park, TX $25-$28.00 PH TMD Staffing is hiring experienced TIG Welders / Fabricators for a great opportunity with a leading manufacturing company in Cedar Park, TX. We are looking for skilled welders with strong GTAW/TIG experience, especially in thin-gauge sheet metal.

Pay & Schedule Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PMNight Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:30 AMLots of overtime available! Overtime may be required based on production needs

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous TIG/GTAW welding experience is required and must be clearly shown on your resume
• Minimum 3 years of welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience welding thin-gauge sheet metal, including material as thin as 20 gauge / .036"
• Experience welding aluminum and/or stainless steel
• Ability to perform your own grinding, finishing, and cleanup
• Proven ability to produce high-quality, clean, seamless-looking welds
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and weld symbols
• Strong attention to detail and quality

Job Duties

• Perform GTAW/TIG welding as the primary welding process
• Fit, assemble, tack weld, weld, grind, and finish fabricated components
• Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
• Work with thin-gauge sheet metal and fabricated assemblies
• Read and follow blueprints, weld symbols, engineering drawings, and work instructions
• Perform spot welding, stud welding, and robotic welding as needed
• Install PEM hardware, rivet nuts, inserts, studs, and related hardware
• Perform drilling, tapping, countersinking, and other fabrication tasks
• Inspect finished products for quality and compliance with specifications
• Complete production paperwork and work-order documentation
• Maintain tools, fixtures, and equipment
• Perform routine equipment inspections and operator preventive maintenance
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Follow all company safety and environmental procedures
• Support production goals and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 3+ years of welding/fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated TIG/GTAW welding experience
• Sheet metal fabrication experience
• Experience welding aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel
• Experience welding thin-gauge materials
• Ability to perform grinding and finishing operations
• Experience with spot welding, stud welding, or robotic welding is a plus
• High-mix, low-volume manufacturing experience preferred
• Overhead crane experience is a plus
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This is an onsite manufacturing position. The work environment may include welding fumes, vapors, airborne particles, moving machinery, vibration, and elevated noise levels.
