Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. in Jasper, Tennessee seeks a Back Welder 5 to join our production team. This role welds metal components using GMAW and SAW, following layouts, blueprints, or work orders to fabricate or repair products.

You will read weld symbols and WPS, set up equipment, operate cranes, and maintain safe, efficient operations on a daily basis. AWS certified welder and at least one year of welding experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must read weld symbols and understand WPS
• Able to read simple shop drawings
• Able to perform basic math calculations
• Must have welding experience (1+ years)
• AWS certified welder operator qualification
• Must be safety-focused

Responsibilities

• Operate welding equipment to fabricate or repair components per layouts
• Maintain and operate tooling and fixtures safely
• Produce high quality welds with GMAW in shop environment
• Plan sequence of operations from written specs
• Adjust welding equipment settings
• Read labor reporting and shop forms
• Operate overhead cranes
• Other duties as required
