Valmont in Columbus, NE, seeks a welder to join our fabrication team. You will weld metal components together from blueprints and layouts using brazing and arc/gas welding equipment, with a strong focus on quality and safety.

Requirements include 5+ years MIG welding experience, ability to read a tape measure and WPS, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment. Detailed safety practices and attendance expectations are part of daily work.

• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to read and understand WPSs (Welding Procedure Specifications).

Responsibilities

• Weld metal components from blueprints/layouts using brazing and arc/gas welding.
• Lay out guidelines and cut metal parts with a torch.
• Weld structural components for poles, substations, and other structures.
• Adjust welding equipment per project specs.
• Move pole shafts with an overhead crane and gather materials.
• Follow all safety policies and wear PPE.
• Support department goals and participate in safety initiatives.
