Job summary

Opti Staffing Group in Oregon is seeking experienced welders/fabricators to join a growing steel bending and fabrication company. You will perform MIG and TIG welding, read blueprints, and support loading and material handling.

The role requires 1+ year welding experience, a stable work history in structural steel fabrication, and the ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods. Union membership (Local 516) is required. Excellent benefits and scheduling are offered.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fabrication duties using welders, grinders, torches, band saws, shears, punches, and drill press.
• Read, interpret, and work from blueprints or drawings.
• Complete required paperwork and communicate effectively with coworkers.
• Participate in skills demonstrations to prove welding proficiency.
• Operate forklifts and assist with loading as needed.

Location: Tualatin, OR

Pay: $25 - $33 per hour (DOE)

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5:30am to 2pm & 7:30am to 4pm

The Musts:

• Must be willing to join the Local 516 Union.

• AWS D1.1 FCAW certification highly preferred.

• Previous experience in a structural steel fabrication shop.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
