Job summary

Opti Staffing Group is hiring a skilled welder for our Portland, OR client. The role centers on TIG and MIG welding and broad fabrication in a true job-shop environment.

You will read blueprints, operate cranes and forklifts, and handle setup through completion in a Monday–Friday schedule, 6am–2:30pm. Pay ranges from $27-35+ per hour DOE, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in TIG/MIG welding.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Experience with crane and forklift equipment.
• Comfort with quick turnaround in a job-shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Weld using TIG and MIG processes.
• Perform fabrication tasks and finish work.
• Set up, fixture work, and troubleshoot projects.
• Take a job from setup through completion with minimal supervision.

Location: Portland, Oregon

Compensation: $27-35+/hr. DOE

Hours: Monday - Friday, 6am-2:30pm

What You’ll Do:

Thips osition is about much more than just TIG and MIG welding! While welding is a major component of the role, it also requires strong mechanical reasoning, finishing experience, grinding, setup, and fixture work.

Strong fabrication experience is a must as well. This is a true job-shop environment, so you need to be comfortable handling whatever job comes your way. One day it may be TIG, the next MIG, and the next something completely different. We're looking for someone versatile who can jump in, problem-solve, and confidently take a project from setup through completion.
