Back Welder/Metal Fabricator Manufacturing & General Production Tigard , Oregon Temp To Hire

Location: Tigard, Oregon

Pay:$23-$27 per hour

Schedule:Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday 6am-4:30pm (4 -10's)

This is a Temp-to-Hire position!

Job Description:

We are looking for a strong welding candidate to fabricate custom retail displays for our customers. This position works with light gage sheet metal incorporating both MIG & TIG welding experience. Havingknowledge or experience of press breaks would be extremely helpful. This person should be wellrounded and understand the general operation of a metal shop utilizing hand tools and cutting equipment. We are not looking for structural welders and pipe fitters as this skillset usually doesn’t weldanything under ½” material.

Duties:

• Interprets drawings or assembly instructions provided.
• Metal forming and cutting.
• Strong MIG and TIG experience.
• Experience with small hand tools and finishing equipment such as grinders.
• Familiar with light gage steel welding and aluminum.

Qualifications:

• Construction background or experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and quality control of assigned tasks to guaranteeworkplace efficiency and performance.
• Flexible and willing to help other departments when needed.
• Able to work alone or as a team.

Location: Tigard, Oregon
