Job summary

UVM Health - UVM Medical Center is seeking a Midwifery Education Program Coordinator to oversee day-to-day operations and ensure ACME and hospital compliance. You will coordinate recruitment, orientation, scheduling, and credentialing for students, while supporting the Program Director and faculty.

You will maintain records and evaluations, assist with conferences and special projects, and liaise with clinical staff and education leaders to advance program quality.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree is required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of healthcare and/or healthcare education.
  • 1-3 years education experience in an academic hospital setting is helpful.
  • Experience in higher student education is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Midwifery Education Program.
  • Serve as liaison between students, the Program Director, faculty and other hospital departments.
  • Ensure recruitment, orientation, scheduling and credentialing processes are implemented.
  • Assist Program Director with student compliance with academic requirements and hospital regulations.
  • Maintain records and reports, including the evaluation system and performance evaluations.
  • Assist faculty with planning conferences, retreats and symposia; manage special projects.
  • Update website and communicate with educational leaders as needed.
