Job summary

B&S Site Development, a fast‑growing leader in large‑parcel civil construction, seeks a VP/GM for the Midwest region based in Columbus, OH. You will lead regional operations, drive profitability, and manage client relationships across site development segments including mass grading and utilities.

The role requires 15+ years of leadership, deep technical expertise, and strong preconstruction/estimating skills.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in site development or heavy civil construction.
• Deep technical understanding of mass grading, utilities, stormwater, and roadwork.
• Strong preconstruction and estimating knowledge, including pricing strategy and contract negotiation.
• Proficiency in interpreting civil plans, geotechnical reports, surveys, and engineering documents.
• Experience managing a business unit with approx. $100M+ annual revenue.

Responsibilities

• Own the $100 million P&L for the Midwest region, including revenue, margin, overhead and cash flow.
• Develop and execute regional growth strategies aligned with company goals.
• Forecast workload, resource needs, and financial performance.
• Oversee project operations ensuring safety, quality, schedule and budget.
• Lead and mentor project managers, superintendents, estimators, and staff.
• Represent B&S with clients, developers, municipalities and industry partners.
• Drive margin protection and change order management.
• Review monthly financials, WIP, and project forecasts.
