Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Training Manager for the Midwest Region to lead customer safety training strategy and programs.

You will develop and implement region-wide training initiatives, manage the training team, and train internal staff as trainers while staying current with safety regulations and standards. The role requires 3–5 years of safety training experience, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and extensive travel (about 80%).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or related work experience.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience conducting safety training for equipment operators.
• Experience with train-the-trainer programs and safety education preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, EPA, NFPA, ANSI and related safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement customer safety training strategy for the Midwest Region.
• Manage customer safety training programs across the region.
• Lead the Region Customer Safety Training team.
• Train United Rentals employees as trainers for safety courses.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and certifications.
• Collaborate with Region Sales & Marketing and Safety Director to align training with strategy.
• Provide progress reports to Region management; identify cost-saving improvements.
• Travel approximately 80%.
