Job summary

United Rentals in Stamford, CT is seeking a Midwest-region Training Manager to lead customer safety training initiatives and ensure compliant, effective programs that drive revenue.

You will collaborate with Sales & Marketing and Safety Directors to design and implement region-wide training, train trainers, and manage a team across districts. Travel up to 80% is required; bilingual Spanish is a plus in select markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3–5 years' safety training experience for equipment operators.
• Experience train-the-trainer programs; safety education preferred.
• Mastery of a company safety training program and content delivery.
• Knowledge of OSHA, FAA, MSHA, EPA and ANSI, NFPA, NEC safety standards.
• Knowledge of MSHA requirements for AWP, Forklifts, New Miner and Refresher training.
• Travel approximately 80%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement customer safety training strategy and go-to-market plan for the region.
• Manage customer safety training programs.
• Lead Region Customer Safety Training team.
• Train United Rentals employees as trainers across districts.
• Oversee internal and external required safety training programs.
• Stay current with safety laws and requirements through ongoing training.
• Engage with Outside Sales to align training metrics with sales growth.
• Provide progress reports on safety training to Region management.
• Recommend process improvements to lower training costs and increase profitability.
• Handle additional duties as needed.
