Job summary

Loenbro is seeking a Regional Project Cost Accountant to support Midwest construction projects from our Cedar Rapids, IA offices. You will ensure accurate project setup, cost tracking, and data integrity while coordinating with Accounting, FP&A, Project Controls, and Operations to drive reliable reporting and closeout activities.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in construction/project accounting, strong analytical skills, and experience with job cost tracking and WIP reporting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction accounting experience.
• Experience with job cost tracking and WIP reporting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently across multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate project setup and maintenance within company systems.
• Monitor job costs and support WIP reporting.
• Coordinate project closeout activities including lien waivers and open commitments.
• Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, Project Controls, Payroll, AP/AR, and Operations to resolve issues.
• Support month‑end close by reviewing transactions and investigating discrepancies.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen controls.
