Job summary

GEICO, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking an Agency Operations Manager, Commercial for AR/KS/MO/OK in the Midwest. You will grow agency relationships and manage a portfolio of 120–150 commercial accounts, driving revenue and implementing best practices across field and call sales teams.

You will develop onboarding plans, train agency principals and staff, and collaborate with product management to identify opportunities. Overnight travel is 40–50% within a large geographic area.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow complex instructions and resolve conflicts.
• Must be able to multi-task.
• Must be able to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information.
• Prior experience driving sales results.
• Experience with different lines of insurance (P&C, Commercial, Life/Health) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prospects, interviews, and approves new appointments to expand GEICO’s agency distribution.
• Manage agents within a designated area using in person, virtual, phone, and email to build relationships, deliver trainings, and manage agency performance.
• Analyze territory to plan where to spend time and resources to achieve growth and profitability goals.
• Apply knowledge of commercial insurance to design effective sales calls and grow agency revenue.
• Prepare strategies and document agency plans to support the sales process.
