Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking an Area Sales Manager to cover the Midwest region of North America. The role involves owning the complete sales process, managing key accounts, and coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions.

The territory includes Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky and Ontario, Canada. Ideal candidates have a technical degree, at least three years of direct sales experience, and strong motor knowledge (BLDC, brushed, stepper) with proficiency in MS

Qualifications

Must live in the assigned territory Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana or Kentucky.
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or related field is required.
At least 3 years direct sales experience.
Knowledge of BLDC, brushed, and stepper motors, motor drives, and linear actuators.
Familiar with Windows based PC’s and MS Office programs.
Must be fluent in English (spoken and written).
Willing to travel frequently and work beyond standard hours.

Responsibilities

Own and manage the complete sales process for customers within the assigned territory, from prospecting and opportunity qualification through solution development, quotation, order acquisition, and ongoing account management.
Coordinate delivery changes, quality concerns, technical issue resolution, prototype development, and prototype scheduling to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Work with local reps and rep firms to facilitate the sales process.
Execute marketing and sales development strategies by generating and qualifying leads, representing the company at trade shows, and driving business growth.
