Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a Middleware Administrator to support critical banking platforms in a 1st shift role in the United States. You will provide end-to-end middleware administration across WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat, and related components, while partnering with application teams and vendors to ensure stability and compliance.

You will implement deployment templates, advise on best practices, and design infrastructure for high availability and resilient operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with Apache, J2EE, Java, JBoss, WebSphere Application Server, Tomcat.
• Familiar with BPM products such as Appian and Linux environments.
• Knowledge of shell, Python, and Perl scripting.
• Understanding of network infrastructure (HTTP/S, TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, load-balancers).
• Experience with release/deploy tools: Ansible, Ansible Tower, XLR, Bitbucket.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides middleware administration for banking platforms end-to-end.
• Delivers middleware enterprise projects and regulatory initiatives.
• Ensures production stability from a support perspective.
• Maintains current patch levels to manage customer risk.
• Performs middleware server installation, configuration, and tuning.
• Collaborates with application/testing teams, providing Java and middleware support.
• Designs deployment templates and advises on J2EE best practices.
• Architects middleware infra for high availability and failover.
