Job summary

HomeWell Care Services Delaware is seeking a Caregiver / Home Care Aide for all shifts. We serve Kent & New Castle Counties with full-time and part-time opportunities, offering training and pathways for growth.

Join a team that values compassion, reliability, and client dignity. In this role you provide non-medical personal assistance to maintain clients’ independence, with duties including companionship, light housekeeping, personal care, mobility support, and medication reminders.

Qualifications

• Certification welcomed but not required (HHA/CNA).
• At least 6 months of direct caregiving experience for non-certified applicants.
• Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening.
• TB test clearance required.
• Criminal background and fingerprint check required.
• Reliable transportation and, if transporting clients, valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Ability to work one weekend day per month.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical personal assistance to maintain clients' independence and quality of life.
• Offer companionship and social engagement.
• Household support: light cleaning, laundry, and meal prep.
• Personal assistance: bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing.
• Mobility assistance and transfers.
• Medication reminders.
• Transportation and errands as needed.

Your Role as a Caregiver / Home Care Aide

In this role, you will provide non-medical personal assistance services, ensuring our clients maintain their independence and quality of life.

Duties Include:

• Companionship & Social Engagement
• Household Support – Light cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
• Personal Assistance – Bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing support
• Mobility Assistance & Transfers
• Medication Reminders
• Transportation & Errand Assistance (if applicable)

All services are provided with respect, professionalism, and a commitment to client dignity.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• HHA or CNA certification is welcomed but not required
• Caregivers and Home Care Aides without certification must have at least 6 months of direct caregiving experience
• Must pass a pre-employment physical & drug screening
• TB Test Clearance Required
• Criminal Background & Fingerprint Check Required
• Reliable Transportation Required – If transporting clients, must have valid driver’s license & auto insurance
• Ability to Work One (1) Weekend Day Per Month
