Orting School District seeks a part-time Assistant Track and Field Coach (Non-continuing) for Orting Middle School. The role supports the head coach in managing the middle school track program, aligning with WA coaching standards, and fostering sportsmanship among students.

Preference for candidates with track experience and the ability to work after school, 2:25 pm dismissal days. The position reports to the Director of Athletics & Activities and may involve coordination with families and

Qualifications

• Experience in coaching/participating in track and field.
• Knowledge of track and field techniques and strategies.
• Be able to meet all WIAA requirements for Washington State Coaching Standards.
• Ability to communicate positively and effectively with students, parents, staff and community members.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills necessary to run a solid middle school program.
• Successful experience working with teenage athletes.
• Ability to motivate teens to reach their highest potential academically through sportsmanship.
• Experience preferred.
