Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a dedicated Title I Teacher for Tawas Area Middle School in Michigan. This full-time educator will support students needing extra academic assistance and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.

You will implement targeted reading, writing, and math interventions, analyze progress data, collaborate with teachers and families, and participate in professional development to stay current with best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education; Michigan teaching certification.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience with middle school students, Title I setting preferred.
• Strong data analysis to inform instruction.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized and small group instructional plans for Title I students.
• Assess progress regularly and adjust strategies using data.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to integrate services.
• Provide targeted interventions in reading, writing, and math.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment.
• Communicate with parents regarding student progress.
• Participate in professional development.
• Maintain accurate records of assessments and progress.
• Work with special education staff and counselors to support students.
• Contribute to Title I program development.
