Job summary

Ann Arbor Public Schools seeks an Elementary Title I Teacher to support literacy and math goals in Title I funded classrooms. The role involves differentiating instruction using ongoing assessments and collaborating with classroom teachers to close achievement gaps.

Qualifications

  • Using ongoing assessment information to differentiate instruction
  • Establishing high levels of student engagement and interaction
  • Use of active learning, manipulatives and visual displays to scaffold concepts
  • Focus on problem solving and mathematical reasoning
  • Strategic use of classroom discourse to build understanding

Responsibilities

  • Teach District approved curriculum through supplemental support
  • Develop lessons and instructional material to differentiate curriculum based on student needs and data
  • Evaluate pupil's academic and social growth
  • Maintain appropriate records of interventions and assessments
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Use data to generate individualized learning
  • Collaborate with Admin on Title I plan and budget
  • Co-teach with classroom teachers to support Title I students via push-in model
  • Participate on Continuous Improvement Team
  • Collaborate with other interventionists
  • Attend district Title I meetings
