Job summary

Unlimited Instruction, LLC is seeking a dedicated Middle School Special Education Teacher to lead a pathway program in the Virginia Beach, VA area. You will work with students in special education, build relationships with families and staff, and contribute to a structured learning environment.

The role supports a pathway toward a provisional Special Education license for the 2026-27 school year and beyond, following the successful completion of a bachelor’s degree in any field from a regionally

Qualifications

• Have completed a bachelor’s degree program in any field from a regionally accredited university or institution.
• Have previously completed a foundations of special education course or be willing to take the course as a term of their employment.
• Will work towards successfully obtaining a provisional Special Education License from the state of Virginia.
• Have excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers, administrators, support staff and parents.
• Continually assess and monitor student achievement and maintain all documents and evaluations for reporting purposes.
• Design and implement appropriate instructional and/or learning strategies and activities.
• Manage student behaviors to ensure a conducive learning environment.
• Coordinate instructional activities with other professional staff to maximize learning opportunities.
• Communicate with students and parents about progress and expectations.
• Collaborate with other professionals to carry out schoolwide activities.
• Use media and technology to enhance learning.
• Plan and implement lessons based on objectives for diverse abilities.
• Provide development, management, and support for IEPs and BSPs.
