Job summary

Lubbock-Cooper ISD is seeking a Special Education Behavior Teacher at Lubbock-Cooper Middle School. The role focuses on providing specialized instruction to students with disabilities, developing and implementing IEPs, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to support student growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.

Knowledge of ARD Committee process and IEP goal setting.
Ability to adapt curriculum and instruction for students with special needs.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop IEPs through the ARD process for each student assigned.
Implement instructional, therapeutic, or skill development programs and show written evidence of preparation as required.
Assess student learning styles and plan appropriate instructional strategies, using diverse media.
Present subject matter according to IEP guidelines and modify regular curricula as needed.
Participate in ARD Committee meetings and communicate progress to families.
