Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements for assignment.
• Knowledge of ARD Committee process and Individual Education Plan (IEP) goal setting process and implementation.
• Experience: Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop IEPs through the ARD process for each student.
• Implement instructional, therapeutic, or skill development programs as required.
• Assess student learning styles and plan appropriate instructional strategies.
• Present subject matter and use varied instructional techniques and media including technology.
• Participate in ARD Committee meetings and collaboration with staff.
