Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is seeking a Temporary Mild Intervention Special Education Teacher to join our staff in a vibrant school setting from mid September to mid December. The role offers a competitive salary and generous benefits to support your work with students who need extra help.

You will develop and implement IEPs, coordinate with families and other staff, and deliver effective, engaging lessons in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience working with K-12 children.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute IEPs for each student.
• Communicate progress with staff and families about each student's progress and struggles.
• Prepare detailed lesson plans and submit them to administrators for approval.
• Participate in IEP meetings as scheduled by the school.
• Use individualized reinforcement techniques to support student progress.
• Invite family members to participate in each student's educational progress.
• Create and distribute progress reports quarterly.
• Collaborate with on-site therapist on behavioral issues.
• Create a safe, productive classroom environment.

Special Education Teacher Qualifications:
