Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is hiring a Special Education Teacher to join our staff and support students in a dynamic school setting. You will design and implement IEPs, collaborate with staff and families, and deliver tailored lesson plans to help each child reach their potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with SPED licensure.
• Experience working with K-12 children.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for each student.
• Communicate with other staff and family members about each student's progress and struggles.
• Prepare detailed lesson plans and submit them to administrators for approval.
• Participate in IEP meetings as scheduled by the school.
• Use individualized reinforcement techniques to keep each student on the path toward greatness.
• Invite family members to participate in each student's educational progress.
• Create and distribute progress reports quarterly.
• Confer with on-site therapist over disciplinary and behavioral issues with students.
• Create a safe, productive classroom environment.
