Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support students in our partner schools. You will develop and implement IEPs, collaborate with staff and families, and create engaging lesson plans to help each child reach their potential.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for each student.
• Communicate with staff and families about student progress and challenges.
• Prepare detailed lesson plans and submit them for administrator approval.
• Participate in IEP meetings as scheduled by the school.
• Use individualized reinforcement techniques to support student success.
• Invite family members to participate in educational progress.
• Create and distribute progress reports on a quarterly basis.
• Confer with on-site therapists regarding disciplinary and behavioral issues.
• Create a safe, productive classroom environment.
