The role reports to the Building Principal with the Special Education Department and requires collaboration across teams to align instructional strategies with IEP goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field.
• Massachusetts DESE certification as a Special Education Teacher preferred, or MTEL equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Attend and participate in IEP meetings.
• Develop and implement IEPs for students with disabilities.
• Provide specialized instruction, accommodations, and modifications.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to meet IEP goals.
• Assess progress and adjust instructional methods.
• Maintain records of student performance and progress toward IEP goals.
• Participate in IEP meetings with parents and school team.
• Provide consultation to educators on accommodations and teaching strategies.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Protect confidentiality per policy and law.
• Engage in professional development and other duties as assigned by leadership.
