Job summary

Kettle Falls School District is seeking an Educational Assistant to support students in Reading, Language Arts, and Math, and to assist with behavior management. The role includes personal care for students with disabilities and one-on-one or small-group tutoring in a middle school setting.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience with middle school students is preferred. Candidates should be prepared to work as part of a building team and adhere to district

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with middle school students preferred.
• Knowledge of special education disabilities preferred.
• Ability to keep accurate daily records and communicate clearly with teachers.
• Must be flexible with daily schedule and work as part of a team.
• Disposition to work with potentially aggressive/assaultive youth.

Responsibilities

• Provide educational support to students in Reading, Language Arts, Math and Behavior.
• Provide instruction to students who are academically at risk or high need.
• Provide personal care, including hygiene, to students with disabilities.
• Instructional tutoring in one-on-one or small groups.
• Supervise students during lunch, free times, and locker rooms.
• Support behavior management and social skills development.
