Job summary

Ignite Community School Mainland seeks a dedicated Middle School Teacher to deliver TEKS-aligned mathematics for grades 6–8 and support student growth through data-driven instruction and targeted interventions.

The role collaborates with counselors, Special Education and 504 staff to ensure accommodations and effective MTSS delivery, while maintaining professional communication with families.

Qualifications

• Must meet one of the following: Texas State Teacher’s Certification as Elementary Generalist or Elementary Self-Contained Teacher, or Bachelor’s degree with passing score on ExCET/TExES in the taught grade/content, or Bachelor’s in Elementary Education, or Bachelor’s with core subject majors/minors (18 credits), or Bachelor’s with documented relevant work experience in the content area with professional letter.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver TEKS-aligned mathematics lessons for grades 6–8.
• Assign lessons, classwork, and homework aligned to standards and correct them timely.
• Administer formative and summative assessments and report results to parents.
• Provide academic interventions and MTSS-aligned supports.
• Maintain grades, calendar, and parent communication via online tools.
