Job summary
CREC seeks a talented Secondary Mathematics Intervention teacher for the Academy of International Studies 6-12, joining a diverse school community with a social justice mindset. This role focuses on leading math intervention alongside the EIP coordinator and ensuring alignment with district goals.
You will develop standards-aligned lessons, differentiate for diverse learners including ELLs and students with disabilities, and monitor progress to support mastery of algebra, geometry, trigonometry,
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
- CT State Certification as Mathematics Education Teacher required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and administer curriculum aligned to district goals.
- Provide safe, inclusive learning environments for diverse learners.
- Design and implement standards-aligned lesson plans in mathematics.
- Assess student learning and adjust instruction to meet needs.
- Collaborate with EIP coordinator on data-driven interventions.
- Monitor progress and report outcomes of intervention goals.
