Silicon Valley International School (INTL) is seeking a Learning Specialist to join the learning support teaching team for the 2026-2027 academic year, serving middle school students (6th-8th). The Learning Specialist will provide push-in, pull-out, individual, and/or small-group support to students who have learning differences or identified needs.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Special Education or Education.
• Minimum of two years of teaching experience, preferably in independent schools.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment with an appreciation for diversity.
• Excellence in written and spoken communication.
• Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual education experience and DEI focus.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small-group interventions for students with learning differences.
• Administer and review assessments, develop learning plans, document progress.
• Monitor caseload progress and maintain records of growth.
• Create individualized learning plans with classroom and testing accommodations.
• Design or co-lead professional development on learning differences and accommodations.
• Consult with teachers and families on screenings/evaluation results and referrals.
• Coordinate with Student Services for communication and knowledge transfer.
• Interpret neuropsychological reports for school personnel.
• Use data to assess current and long-term needs of the population.
