Job summary

KIPP Columbus is seeking a highly qualified Special Educator to deliver specially designed instruction for students on the caseload. The Inclusion Intervention Specialist will push-in to general classrooms and provide small-group instruction aligned with Ohio standards, implementing IEPs and BIPs where needed, and collaborating with general education teachers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Ohio Special Education Intervention Specialist License or willingness to pursue certification by start date via Traditional, Alternative, or Supplemental pathways.
• Experience with writing IEPs, progress monitoring, progress reporting and data collection.
• Experience participating in ETR meetings and writing ETR Part 1.
• Ability to collaborate with general education staff to design inclusive instruction.

Responsibilities

• Implement IEPs and design instructional strategies aligned with Ohio standards.
• Provide direct intervention for students with disabilities in general and special education settings.
• Differentiate instruction and modify curriculum to meet diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to co-plan and co-teach lessons.
• Maintain documentation and progress reports for IEPs and MTSS meetings.
• Advocate for inclusive practices and ensure proper accommodations.
