Job summary

KIPP Columbus is seeking a highly qualified Special Educator for an Inclusion Intervention Specialist role. The Diverse Learning Team delivers specialized instruction in small groups and pushes into general education classrooms to support students on the caseload.

Responsibilities include implementing IEPs, designing instruction aligned to Ohio standards, collaborating with teachers to co-teach, and maintaining progress reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current Ohio Special Education Intervention Specialist License or willingness to pursue certification by start date.
• Experience with participating in ETR meetings and writing IEPs, progress monitoring and data collection.

Responsibilities

• Push-in to general education classrooms with small-group instruction.
• Implement IEPs and design instructional strategies aligned with Ohio standards.
• Provide direct intervention for students with disabilities in general and special education settings.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to co-plan and co-teach lessons.
• Serve as liaison between students, teachers, families, and related service providers.
• Advocate for inclusive practices and ensure appropriate accommodations.
• Participate in MTSS/ETR meetings and implement BIPs and SEL supports.
• Maintain documentation and progress reports for IEPs; adjust strategies based on data.
