Zeta Charter Schools in New York City is seeking a Middle School Humanities Teacher to deliver rigorous Humanities instruction, foster inclusive classroom culture, and align with our social-emotional curriculum. You will partner with families to support each student’s academic and personal growth and participate in weekly professional development to refine teaching practices.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 1-2+ years of lead teaching experience, with NY certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Lead teaching experience (1-2+ years) preferred for NY certification.
• NY certification preferred as an asset.

Responsibilities

• Plan inquiry-driven, academically rigorous Humanities lessons.
• Build an inclusive classroom culture that fosters love of learning.
• Master Zeta’s curriculum and deliver exceptional instruction daily.
• Work to ensure 90%+ of students achieve on or above grade level in Humanities.
• Use data and student work to drive achievement and refine teaching.
• Develop strong relationships with students and families to support growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues and engage in weekly professional learning.
