Position: Middle School Head Custodian
Reports to: Director of Facility Services
CEA Grade: EFS
Starting Rate of Pay: $23.69

Summary of Position

Under general supervision, performs cleaning, maintenance, liaison, and service duties to maintain the school appearance and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Provides leadership for day facility service staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least three reliable references
• Five years experience in custodial work or light maintenance
• Customer satisfaction work ethic
• Must be tuberculosis antibody free
• No criminal convictions related to drug possession, child crimes, or theft
• Current Illinois driver’s license
• Ability to work after school hours and weekends

Essential Job Functions

• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
• Lock and unlock buildings, keeping areas secure
• Perform cleaning duties and operate equipment
