Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of two years of experience as an assistant coach.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• Knowledge of WIAA policies and Tacoma School District procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise student athletes to promote learning through participation in athletic activities.
• Plan and implement a sport program and schedule to develop athletes physically and mentally with safety in mind.
• Organize practices for 7th–8th grade four days a week and 6th grade two days a week after school.
• Coordinate equipment and facility use with district and building staff; maintain records and safety checks.
• Inform students and parents about eligibility rules and district policies.
• Attend district and building athletic meetings as required.
