Job summary

You will manage routine cleaning, operate building systems, and coordinate minor repairs while adhering to district policy and safety standards. A high school diploma or GED is required, with training provided as needed.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the building each day and ensure all doors and windows are secured.
• Keep the building, sidewalks, driveways, and play areas neat and clean at all times.
• Operate and maintain building mechanical systems and equipment.
• Perform regular servicing of motors, ballast, lights, and other fixtures.
• Adjust heating, ventilation, and air conditioning for comfort and efficiency.
• Shovel, plow, or sand walks, driveways, and steps as needed.
• Inspect exit doors daily and ensure safe operation.
• Dust, sweep, and vacuum classrooms; clean chalkboards/whiteboards weekly.
• Wash windows inside and outside at least twice yearly; maintain floors in good condition.
• Move furniture for activities and perform minor repairs; report major repairs promptly.
• Carry out yard duties to keep grounds safe and attractive.
• Remain on site during school hours and during approved non-school hours for events.
• Perform weekend building checks and participate in rotations with the senior high for weekend activities.
