Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a seasonal basketball coach for the middle school level. The candidate will assist with coaching the team for competition, teaching techniques, and promoting team building.

The role requires effective communication with parents and students, as well as scheduling practices and events. Basic first aid and CPR training are mandatory for this position, and candidates must represent the Wayland Union District in a professional manner.

Qualifications

• Successful basketball coaching experience at the middle school level preferred.
• Knowledge and ability to teach technique and strategy involved with basketball.
• Proven ability to enhance player skill development.

Responsibilities

• Assist with coaching team for competition by teaching technique and promoting team building.
• Represent the Wayland Union District in a positive and professional manner.
• Schedule practices and events.
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students.
• Complete inventory must be complete at completion of the season.

Terms of Employment

• WUEA Schedule B position, seasonal position only.
• Will be employed through EduStaff unless current WUEA member
• Contingent upon passing post offer background checks.
