Job summary

Qualifications

• Successful football coaching experience at the middle school level preferred.
• Strong knowledge of football rules, techniques, and strategies.
• Ability to motivate and inspire players.
• First aid, CPR, and concussion training required.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an effective training program for the team.
• Teach and enforce proper techniques and safety measures.
• Plan and conduct team practices and games.
• Evaluate player performance and provide feedback.
• Foster a positive team environment and encourage sportsmanship.
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students.
• Represent Wayland Union School district in a positive manner when dealing with opponents, players, parents, and spectators.
• Complete inventory, in a timely fashion at the end of the season, to ensure all equipment is accounted for and returned.
• Carries out coaching responsibilities in alignment with the offensive and defensive philosophies established by the Head Varsity Football Coach.
