Job summary

Legarza Sports in the Bay Area is seeking a Program Coordinator – Athletics to support our Middle School Athletic Director programs and broader youth sports initiatives.

You’ll coach PE, sub or provide program coverage on some days, and coordinate teams, schedules, and staffing with coaches, schools, and families. This hybrid role blends coaching and athletics administration to grow programs.

Qualifications

• Experience playing, coaching, or working in sports.
• Passion for youth development and working with children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change.
• Willingness to coach, substitute, and support various programs.
• Ability to take initiative and follow through on responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Support Middle School Athletic Director programs, coordinating teams, coaches, practices, games, schedules, staffing, and logistics.
• Serve as a key point of contact for coaches, school admins, families, and program partners to ensure clarity and success.
• Spend days coaching PE, substituting, and leading after‑school sports and enrichment programs.
• Coach and support additional Legarza programs including camps, leagues, and events.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of coaches with consistent standards.
• Collaborate with Legarza leadership to improve operations, partnerships, and growth opportunities.
