Job summary

The Jewish Community Center of San Francisco is seeking an Athletics Gym Coordinator to oversee youth sport classes and leagues. You will work closely with Athletics management on planning, scheduling, and delivering high-quality programming while serving as the main information hub for families about the department's philosophy and activities.

On-site role requiring coordination of coaches, supervision of practices and events, and maintenance of safe, organized spaces.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children ages 3–13; knowledge of child development is a plus.
• Background in athletics, especially basketball and/or volleyball.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct program support and oversee day-to-day operations.
• Coordinate with coaches and maintain consistent communication.
• Assist management with lesson plans and program events.
• Coach at least one team per season and step in when needed.
• Ensure a safe, positive environment for participants and families.
