Job summary

InnovateEDU is seeking an Afterschool Arts & Crafts Instructor for the Brooklyn Lab campuses in Downtown Brooklyn. This part-time, in-person role runs Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 3:15–5:30 pm and Wed 12:00–4:00 pm, with occasional training and Saturdays.

The hourly rate is $25/hr. You will design and deliver daily workshops, plan detailed lesson plans, manage classrooms, and support program events with community partners.

Qualifications

• Plan and facilitate daily workshops for middle schoolers.
• Ability to manage 15 students in a classroom.
• Flexible and creative in developing engaging activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate detailed lesson plans for middle school students.
• Manage classrooms effectively and create a positive learning environment.
• Identify opportunities for students to engage with their Brooklyn community.
• Assist in organizing program-wide events with community partners.
• Communicate with instructors about student needs across programming.
• Train and support Group Leaders in workshops.
• Attend staff meetings and professional training.
• Must move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across campus.
