Job summary

Togetherhood is seeking dynamic after-school instructors to teach Creative Arts and Crafts to K-12 students across the METRO NYC AREA, CT regions, and Westchester. Opportunities run 6 to 18 weeks, with per-class compensation and a materials budget.

Ideal candidates have expertise in Creative Arts, a passion for hands-on projects with kids, and a personable, structured approach to teaching in a supportive environment. This is contracted, supplemental 1099 work with autonomy and clear expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching school age children in Creative Arts.
• Ability to design age-appropriate after-school curricula (Sewing, Painting, Pottery, Crafting, Embroidery, Illustration).
• Strong ability to lead in-person classes with enthusiasm and structuring a lively, inclusive classroom.

Responsibilities

• Develop age-appropriate Creative Arts/Crafts curriculum for after-school students.
• Lead weekly in-person classes with enthusiasm and expertise.
• Establish a well-structured and lively classroom that keeps students engaged.
• Foster a positive, supportive, and encouraging learning environment for students of varying skill levels.
• Build connections with students in a warm and inclusive environment.
