Job summary

IRVING INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking a licensed Teacher to provide engaging instruction across core academics. The role emphasizes lesson planning, data-driven instruction, and alignment with district policies.

You will collaborate with special education staff to support diverse learners and manage student behavior in a compliant classroom. Must hold a valid Texas teaching certificate, complete the Reading Academy if Elementary, and engage in ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate for the subject/level assigned.
• Completion of Texas Reading Academy required for Elementary.
• ESL Supplemental Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement curriculum plans and show preparation evidence.
• Present subject matter per TEA guidelines and district policies.
• Use data to plan instructional strategies tailored to student needs.
• Collaborate with special education staff to adjust curricula.
• Plan, supervise, and support teacher aides/volunteers in classroom.
