Job summary

IRVING INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT seeks a dedicated Teacher to deliver core academic instruction and support student growth across grade levels. Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor’s Degree and valid Texas teaching certificate for assigned subject/level.
• Texas Reading Academy completion required for Elementary.
• ESL Supplemental Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement plans for the curriculum program assigned and show written evidence of preparation as required.
• Present the subject matter according to guidelines established by TEA, board policies, and admin regulations.
• Access and use available data to plan and implement instructional strategies and materials reflecting student needs.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEP guidelines.
• Cooperate with staff to plan and implement instructional goals, objectives and methods per district requirements.
• Plan and supervise assignments for teacher aides or volunteers in the classroom.
• Use technology to strengthen and enhance teaching and learning.
