Job summary

New Settlement is seeking a Part-Time Middle School After-School Program Coordinator in the Bronx, NY. The role focuses on supporting daily operations, ensuring DYCD compliance, and delivering engaging activities for grades 6–8.

You will supervise staff, coordinate enrollment and family engagement, and uphold safety and data-management standards within a DYCD-funded program. The position requires collaboration with school staff and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field (or Associate's with experience).
• Minimum 2 years of experience with middle school youth.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory/leadership experience in after-school or youth programs.
• Familiarity with DYCD, DOE, and DOH regulations.
• DOE fingerprint clearance and SCR clearance where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist daily management and oversight of after-school program operations.
• Ensure activities meet DYCD standards, contractual requirements, and policies.
• Coordinate enrollment, attendance, and roster management.
• Monitor schedules to ensure on-time start/end of activities.
• Support events, trips, and family engagement activities.
• Supervise staff and provide coaching and development.
• Foster youth development and positive relationships with youth and families.
• Maintain DYCD documentation and assist audits and site visits.
