Job summary

The Northeast Bronx YMCA seeks an Afterschool Coordinator to guide academic enrichment and safe, engaging activities for school-age children.

Under the Program Director, you will manage day-to-day operations, maintain records, and ensure alignment with licensing and DYCD/OCFS standards while serving as Data Manager for the program. This part-time role runs Monday through Friday 2:30–6:00 p.m., with opportunities to grow professionally within the YMCA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's Degree in Education preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience with children under 13.
• CPR/First Aid certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct afterschool programs for designated grade bands.
• Lead SEL activities and holistic student development.
• Maintain program records and documentation for licensing.
• Coordinate schedules with host school and DYCD/OCCS requirements.
• Develop strategies to recruit and retain participants.
