Qualifications

• Minimum of 90 college credits from an accredited college or university is required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Valid Michigan teacher’s certificate preferred.
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
• Understanding of curriculum development processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist and guide students to reinforce reading, language arts, mathematics, and computer instruction.
• Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist in administration, correction of classroom exercises, tests and assessments.
• Support attendance and record-keeping procedures for documenting student progress.
• Supervise non-instructional areas and assist with safety and behavior management.
