Job summary

Lubbock Independent School District seeks an Academic Dean for a Middle School. The role involves leading academic program planning, promoting educational achievement, and modeling best practices for staff, students, and parents.

Collaboration with campus leadership will craft school-wide strategies to meet academic and SEL goals. The Dean will communicate the district vision, supervise staff as needed, and ensure data-driven improvements align with curriculum, instruction, and assessment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and Principal's Certification required.
• Ability to organize and coordinate campus curriculum programs.
• Ability to interpret data.
• Ability to provide ongoing professional development to teachers.
• Knowledge of curriculum, instruction and assessment.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Program Management: Identify and monitor student achievement across grade levels and campus.
• Consultation: Provide resources and targeted intervention support for staff and groups.
• Policy, Reports, and Laws: Ensure compliance and provide on-site professional development.
• General Employee Requirements: Align with district mission and policies; foster student learning.
• Supervisory Responsibilities: Assist in supervising faculty and student supervision as needed.
