Job summary

Lubbock Independent School District in Lubbock, Texas seeks a Principal to direct and manage instructional program, supervise operations and personnel at the campus level. The role provides leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service and oversees compliance with district policies and campus activities.

A Master's degree in educational administration, Texas principal certification, and experience in instructional leadership are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in educational administration required.
• Texas principal certificate or valid Texas certificate.
• Texas T-TESS appraiser certification.
• Three years classroom teaching experience and three years in instructional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Monitor instructional and managerial processes to ensure program outcomes and take corrective actions.
• Consult campus-level committees about planning, operation, supervision, and evaluation of campus education program.
• Provide instructional resources and materials to support teaching staff.
• Foster collegiality and teamwork; involve staff in decision-making.
• Ensure two-way communication with the superintendent, staff, students, parents, and community.
• Promote high-level performance expectations and recognize excellence.
• Develop and implement school improvement plans and use data to drive decisions.
• Oversee and evaluate staff performance and conduct development planning.
